FAQs

Can I register a team?

You may race as a team but you need to register individually. You are encouraged to invite all of your friends, family, and co-workers to run with you. After all, we are talking about saving the Human Race! You may wear team costumes or have your team name on your shirts. It is recommended to have your group sign up the same day to increase your chances of running in the same heat. Be sure to tell your teammates your starting time.

Are there refunds if we have a ticket but can no longer attend?

We do not offer refunds. You can however transfer your ticket. The recipient of your ticket must update their information by going to the Contact page and supplying their Name, Age, Gender, Shirt Size and Address no later than three days prior to the event.

Is there an Inclement Weather Policy?

Rain obviously won’t stop us, but if the course is unsafe due to lightning or high winds we will delay or postpone the event.

How old must I be to register?

All Humans and Zombies must be at least 14 years of age as of the event date.

What do I do when all my flags have been taken?

When you enter the race as a human you must finish the race as a human. Although you are infected, you may not begin taking other human’s flags. Complete the race even if you have been “killed”; it’s still fun.

What kind of obstacles/ challenges can I expect?

Wouldn’t you like to know?

May I skip an obstacle?

If you are too much of a baby human and you choose to skip any challenge or obstacle simply wave your hand in surrender to the zombies. At that point all zombies will descend upon your lifeless body and devour your vital organs. All flags will be removed and you will be ineligible to win prizes or save the human race. You will then continue to finish the race in utter humiliation.

May I wear a costume?

Absolutely! We encourage uniqueness and creativity. Even those registered as human are encouraged to dress like the undead. There are best costume prizes for every human wave and zombie shift.

How early should I arrive?

If you are pre-registered we recommend a half hour before your wave or shift. If you need makeup give yourself at least an hour.

Where can I park?

There is plenty of parking in front of the stadium. Signs and volunteers will lead the way. Parking is very close to registration/race start.

Do you charge for parking?

No

Where and when do I pick up my race packet?

You can pickup your race packet at Rentschler Field the day before the race, October 5. There is no guarantee that race day registration will be available, but if there are still spots available, you can register at the stadium and pick up your packet at registration.
